Co-Lead Preschool Teacher
Job Description:
This is not your typical PRESCHOOL/PREK program. "PreSport" is where preschool and sports both have equal importance in keep young minds and bodies active! PreSport takes place in our 10K sq ft facility. Children will partake in sport of the month, yoga, learning, arts + crafts and open play.
At LVST we are looking for a qualified Lead Preschool Teacher to help implement the learning aspect of our program and to lead our Preschool/PreK program. We are looking for someone who understands the importance of learning and the importance of sports and team work. We are looking for someone that has a great love and patience for children!
Qualifications needed to teach them effectively include knowledge of best practices and preschool educational methods as well as the ability to engage them and earn their trust and attention. The goal is to contribute to the healthy mental and emotional development of the child so they can more easily acclimate in the next level of education.
Knowledge of sports and engaging games and exercise is a plus as we will be incorporating those elements as well.
PreSport runs 9am-1pm M-F with extended hours till 3pm each day, as well.
This is a great opportunity for someone looking to work shorter hours so they have a more flexible schedule or maybe have kids of their own they need to be home for. We also are open to a candidate bringing their 3-5 year old with them if need be.
Responsibilities

Observe each child to help them improve their social competencies and build self-esteem

Encourage children to interact with each other and resolve occasional arguments

Guide children to develop their artistic and practical capabilities through a carefully constructed curriculum (identify shapes, numbers or colors, do crafts etc.)

Organize snack time and supervise children to ensure they are safe at all times

Track children’s progress and report to parents (we use Brightwheel app).

Communicate with parents regularly to keep them in the loop.

Maintain a clean and tidy work environment consistent with health and safety standards.

Happy and outgoing personality that loves working with children!
Skills
-
Experience as a lead or assistant to pre school teacher.

Excellent understanding of the principles of child development and preschool educational methods

Familiarity with safety and sanitation guidelines for classrooms

Excellent communication and instructional skills

Ability to act as mediator between children

Cool-tempered, friendly, reliable love hugs!

Certification in child CPR (we can help with this as well)

PA state Clearances (we can help with this as well)

Organized and responsible

Well groomed
Job Types: Part-Time
Hours: M - F 8:15am- 1:15pm. Programs runs from from last week of August until end of May each year. Summer Camp employment options available or take summers off!
Pay: $17-20/per hour depending on experience.
Weekend Party Hosts
Job Description:
Lehigh Valley Sports Turf is looking for a responsible, organized, energetic weekend party hosts to join our team. LVST hosts multiple birthday parties during the weekend for children ages 1-10 years old. Birthday parties in our facility are all private events for the birthday child and their family and friends. We also host open/private play as well as soccer programs.
Your duties as host include, but are not limited to, setting up the party room as requested by guests, manager or lead party host, being present during the party to assist where needed (cashier, bouncy house attendant etc.), and assist in cleaning/flipping the space when the party is finished. Clean up includes party room, both turf areas, two guest bathrooms, & common area tables. Other duties may be requested pending party details and will be communicated in advance of the party.
The ideal candidates will follow instructions, show attention to detail and take pride in providing guests with a memorable and enjoyable experience. Open play/private play and soccer programs also need the facility to be set up properly, cleaned, sanitized and monitored.
Job Type: Part-time
**Weekend hours ARE A MUST (Saturday and Sundays, occasional Fridays)**
Pay: $12-$16/hour + occasional tips.
