LVST's Preschool/PreK programs are

designed to keep young minds and bodies equally active!

We designed this program to get your children active, learning, engaged with sports and socializing with other minis their age! During this program children will engage in learning, sports, teamwork, singing, art and crafts, dancing, yoga and much more!

We are located at Lehigh Valley Sports Turf

7035 Schantz  Rd Suite #200

Allentown, PA 18106

#toddlers #preschool #prek

Begins August 29th, 2022!

Our days are broken down into various activities that are developmentally appropriate for the children enrolled in our program. We ensure that lessons are differentiated to meet the children's individual needs & are tailored to instruct them where they are developmentally but also
scaffold them to reach further goals.

We also POTTY TRAIN! Through songs, literature, & discussion, we help your child transition from pull-ups to underwear by encouraging independence & self-help skills. We assist with the process & will work with you to help your child achieve this milestone!

Our activities vary based on lesson objectives and are either whole group, small group, or individual. We design our program around youth sports and teamwork, as both physical and social-emotional development are just as crucial as academics, particularly at this stage of a child's development. Physical activities promote a healthy lifestyle while teamwork fosters discipline, confidence, accountability & how to resolve conflict.

The children in our program learn how to experience succeed-or-fail situations in a safe, nurturing environment: with every failure comes a lesson, and with every success comes confidence. Our unqiue program will truly ignite whole-child growth & development and instill skills that will be carried for a lifetime.

We are a state licensed facility and follow all of PA state childcare regulations. See below for more information.

Meet Ms.Sylvainus

Hey LVST families! My name is Alexa Sylvainus, and I am the Sports Director and one of the assistant Preschool and PreK Teachers at the Turf. I grew up and currently reside in Nazareth. I attended Syracuse University, where I studied Inclusive Elementary and Special Education with a minor in Mathematics. Some of my favorite memories in college were cheering on Syracuse sports teams in the Carrier Dome, as well as living in New York City while student teaching in some of the most diverse and unique schools in the city.

From a young age, I knew that working with children was my passion. I have over 8 years of experience in early childhood education and having the opportunity to merge my passion for early childhood education and sports at LVST is a dream come true! I believe that every child learns best when they are invited into a positive, fun, and explorative environment that gives them the tools to unlock their full potential to learn. Not only am I committed to providing this environment at LVST, I’m also a firm believer in the power of sports and fitness to develop fundamental confidence and leadership skills from a young age. I’m excited to get to know each individual personality and supply them with the appropriate experiences and tools to grow—the sky’s the limit!

When I’m not in the classroom, I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, or playing and watching sports. I am a huge Dallas Cowboys and New York Mets fan. I am also very big into fitness and spend much of my spare time weightlifting at the gym.

See ya at The Turf!

Meet Mrs.Radcliffe

Hello LVST families! My name is Miss Jena and I am so excited to be supporting the social and emotional needs of the children here at the Turf with my mindfulness program 2x a week!

I grew up in the Lehigh Valley area and have spent the past 15 years as a public school elementary classroom teacher! I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education, have been trained in trauma informed practices, and am a certified mindfulness and yoga instructor for people of all ages. Throughout my years in the classroom, I found a passion for mindfulness, yoga, and social emotional learning, which led me to leave the classroom this past June, in order to share these tools and practices with others!

When I am not out and about teaching, I love spending time with my husband and two boys (ages 5 and 7), playing with my dog Nahla, hiking, exercising, reading, and being in the sunshine! :)

During our lessons together, the children will be learning personal tools and practices to help focus and pay attention, manage their emotions, understand their thoughts, feel good in their bodies, build self-confidence, and stretch their imaginations!  Mindfulness, simply put, is paying attention to the present moment. Through mindful art projects, music, breathing activities, and yoga, the children will have the opportunity to discover that they are in control of their minds and bodies!

I am looking forward to all the fun we are going to have together at the TURF!
